- Get a good night's
rest the night before treatment.
- Take your usual medications
as directed and eat meals as usual. You may want to have a light snack
if your appointment time and consequent numbing will interfere with your
usual schedule. Do not discontinue any medication without your physician's
advice.
- If your cardiologist
or orthopedist have advised antibiotic premedication prior to dental treatment,
be sure to take this medication as prescribed.
- Bring a current written
list of all your medications with dosages including vitamins, herbs, supplements
or homeopathic remedies.
- Bring a parent or
guardian to stay for the appointment if you are a minor.
- Expect relief and
plan to return to work or school the same day or the next.
- Avoid scheduling
treatment prior to travel, photographs, or important meetings, if possible.
Everyone tolerates treatment differently.
- Please refrain from
wearing perfume, cologne, hairspray or scented deodorants due to staff
allergies.
- Cell phones are not
permitted in the treatment areas so please plan accordingly.
